Share Email Opening Title Program Manager - Command & Control  Category Engineering   Description STR is hiring a Program Manager (PM) to direct the development of a DARPA-sponsored software suite for theater scale battle management command and control (C2) to address critical national security challenges. The Program Manager will be the software product owner, selecting development priorities and making trade-offs to best meet program requirements, in collaboration with the DARPA PM and active-duty support personnel. The PM will be responsible for cultivating a collaborative program team, mentoring and empowering staff in their areas of technical expertise. Duties will include the following: Managing a large C2 software development effort with high-stakes evaluations across multiple performers, implemented in a DevSecOps style. Spearheading adoption of an agile development approach using industry standard DevSecOps practices. Serving as the primary STR point of contact for the program and working closely with DARPA and STR leadership to ensure program success. Planning the program across scope, schedule, resources, risk, quality, etc. and monitoring the on-going execution of these areas. Maintaining a collaborative learning environment that supports deep technical understanding and recognizes the contributions of all team members.   Position Requirements Required Skills and Experience: U.S. Citizen with an active Security Clearance Bachelor’s degree or Military experience 10+ years of experience in a management role working and interfacing with senior Government managers, including C-suite officials 10+ years leading large IT services delivery programs in support of the Federal Government or the Military Familiarity with Lean/Agile/DevSecOps development methodologies   Desired Skills and Experience: Experience as an officer in the military TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility DARPA experience Significant experience leading programs using Lean/Agile/DevSecOps in a delivery capacity and ability to point to various lessons learned, successes, failures, and artifacts Software development experience Experience as a product owner or product manager   About the Organization Systems & Technology Research (STR) is a rapidly growing technology company with locations north of Boston, MA, Arlington, VA and near Dayton, OH.
