Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Analyst reports to the Supply Chain Leader and collaborates with Information, Creative, Finance, Sales and Distribution to successfully communicate with internal customers, external customers and suppliers to ensure proper inventory levels while maintaining brand standards across all product lines.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate on the development of best practices in areas of key influence– inventory control, production, forecasting for demand, ERP optimization, negotiating, etc
Maintain, drive, and optimize the process of product procurement with Supply Chain and Product Departments
Drive the purchasing process to completion—product needs and/or forecasting, supplier identification and RFQ execution, negotiation, purchase, shipping + delivery, QC, payment.
Inventory Analysis: Ability to evaluate, monitor and report on inventory levels across all Convivial Brands’ companies to ensure proper in-stock rates for all inventory items.
Monitor and report on open purchase orders and update information in the operating system.
Maintain relationships with established suppliers to minimize costs, maximize service and ensure timely delivery of all product lines
Negotiate favorable pricing from suppliers
Document purchases to better forecast organization needs + budget accuracy.
Collaborate in the development of sourcing processes and strategize
Documenting features, benefits, treatments, and pricing differences to accurately and effectively price goods.
Follow the company product standards to ensure proper product specifications including data sheets, color matching and packaging specifications.
Work directly with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely file delivery to facilitate appropriate product delivery with a commitment to maintaining all internal and external timelines.
Maintain an awareness of the in-stock level, and forecast potential risks of overbuying and underbuying
Monitor, track and report on pre-production samples from suppliers.
Communicate directly with suppliers including recommended changes on all samples.
Maintain accountability for sample approval including product and packaging specifications
Work with distribution center staff on quality inspection and resolution of all inventory and quality issues
Create, update, and maintain documentation of cost standards, per item, per treatment, etc.
Actively research and compare vendors to find the best combination of product quality and price effectiveness available
Optimize the use of the ERP system for Supply Chain function – adding to the operations guidelines, scrubbing, forecasting and product transportation accuracy, etc.
Identify and maintain accurate and timely data in ERP. This information includes, but is not limited to item numbers, descriptions, product attributes, UPC information, costing, HTS Codes, country of origin product stage and supplier information.
