Overview:

The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) is seeking a seasoned full-time Senior Network Analyst to join our Information Services team. Reporting to the Director, Operations, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides maintenance, support, and administration of HANYS networks, network attached peripherals, personal computing devices, electronic communications equipment.
  • Evaluates, recommends, and participates on concurrent or infrastructure implementation projects.
  • Participates in support, maintenance, and administration of HANYS telecommunications and computing infrastructure.
  • Provides analysis and recommendation of products and services for HANYS.
  • Monitors and responds to HANYS Help Desk tickets.
  • Provides support and training for junior Operations staff.

Position Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be substituted.
  • Minimum of 5 years information technology background with 3 years’ experience as a Network Analyst.
  • Two years’ experience in a Microsoft network server environment - Windows 2016 and Exchange 2013 preferred. Current Certified Network Administrator (CNA) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)) certificate preferred
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
  • VMware NSX Certified preferred.
  • Proven proficiency in the following technologies required:
    • Blade server technologies using VMware for virtualization
    • Storage Area Network (SAN) systems
    • Advanced network operations and troubleshooting
    • Data backup systems for Disaster Recovery and Replication
    • Data Center Operations
    • Email systems (Microsoft Exchange 2013 preferred) to include secure email transfer
    • Demonstrated ability to monitor and troubleshoot Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN)
    • Demonstrated ability to monitor and troubleshoot wireless networks
  • Proven understanding of communications and networking technologies.
  • Proven competency in configuring, implementing, and maintaining a high availability network environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to perform and behave professionally under pressure.
  • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze existing conditions and make logical recommendations for problem resolution and/or improvements is required.
  • Able to work weekends and outside of normal business hours when necessary.
  • Able to travel domestically, primarily within New York State, to support regional offices and affiliates.
