Kana Subsurface Engineering, our Disabled Veteran Entity, is looking to immediately hire a confident experienced Project Coordinator (to eventually move into a Project Manager Role). You will be responsible for the documentation of multi-millions of dollars in combined contracts, meeting monthly deadlines, administering accurate project-related information into the construction database, and maintaining business relationships and clear communication channels with both the internal and external Customers in a fast-paced atmosphere.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements*:*

3-5 years' experience in underground utilities;

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Candidates with Civil Engineering Degree are first priority.

Knowledge of Federal, State and City contracts.

Excellent oral and written communication skills - writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar before sending to clients.

Quality conscious - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; accepts feedback to improve performance

Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner

Responsible - takes ownership and moves forward to correct mistakes

Time Management - ability to meet strict billing and other contract deadlines

Good Mathematical skills - must have good understanding of percentages for billing purposes; ability to match client change orders to extra work and confirm revised contract dollar amounts

Multitask - handle different situations simultaneously

Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment

Takes Initiative and is flexible - have the ability to look at a process and find ways to improve it; embody a positive mental attitude.

Position Requirements

1. Prepares contracts for distribution and approval.
2. Procures necessary insurance documents required per contract.
3. Notifies Underground Service Alert and keeps updated.
4. Notifies OSHA as required.
5. Prepares job folders for the Project Team.
6. Works with the Project Manager to prepare monthly progress billings to the
clients.
7. Provides Warranty Guarantee letters to clients as required.
