Location HDT (Geneva, OH)  


This position executes improvement, waste elimination and lean manufacturing exercises throughout the facility. Provides input in identifying and prioritizing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects. Participates and supports CI projects/activities.


  • Identify and help implement efficiency and effectiveness improvements and other projects that increase equipment capability, capacity and/or throughput
  • Partner with shop floor colleagues, leadership and enablers to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are identified and completed in a timely manner
  • Participates and supports rapid improvement events
  • Provides lean/CI training for production teams
  • Lead the execution of Operational Excellence initiatives (i.e. Kanban, Material Conveyance, Production flow, Super Market design and deployment, Value Stream Mapping, Takt time analysis, Problem-Solving, Standardized work, Set-up reduction, 5S, Visual Workplace, Error-Proofing, TPM, Visual Factory, Kaizen, scheduling, etc.)
  • Assists plant value stream teams in sustaining gains achieved in lean efforts
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred


  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing (fabrication and assembly) environment leading and participating in Continuous Improvement events involving cross functional team members
  • Some experience in implementing improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and other recognized process improvement methodologies such as Value Stream mapping, Standard Work, Mitting, Pull Systems, Mistake proofing, Kanban


  • Demonstrated ability to effectively support improvement workshops that include key stakeholders
  • Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate others and achieve results
  • Demonstrated solid performance, leadership and experience in lean concepts and execution
  • Demonstrated commitment for process improvement with results
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with facilitation experience
