Share Email Opening Title Mechanical Engineer  Description Support rugged military system development projects by designing and developing both prototype and production mechanical piece parts and assemblies. Military systems may include minor component design and installation projects and/or major system integration projects. Supporting the Mechanical Engineering Team with the design and fabrication of mechanical assemblies. Generating detailed 3-D solid models for aircraft, shipboard, and ground based system assemblies. Working with production teams to support fabrication of final products. Providing systems engineering oversight of manufacturing processes. Implementing subject matter expertise in order to gain efficiencies throughout various steps of the manufacturing lifecycle.   Position Requirements Degree: A BS in Mechanical Engineering. Yrs. of Experience: Three to five years of experience with 3-D solid modeling (Pro-Engineer, Solid Works or CATIA) is required. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and aircraft hardware is a plus. Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills are required. Knowledge of ASME Y14.100M drawing standards and ISO 9000 standards is desired.   About the Organization J.F. Taylor, Inc. was founded as an engineering firm in 1983 by John F.
