Description

General Purpose Position

Responsible for processing payments and interacting with current and potential clients in order to obtain pertinent information so that all intake documents and procedures are completed according to the guidelines set forth by Dallas LIFE.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise all client intake activities between 10:00am - 2:00pm.
  • Insures New Clients are checked in by the completion of their shift. (This time schedule varies depending upon the number of clients being served.)
  • Checks resident voice mail daily and leaves messages on bulletin board for residents.
  • Prints bed tickets and processes payments using the HEART System accurately and according to the guidelines set forth by DL.
  • Ensures that a family is issued a room according to the size of the family.
  • Checks to ensure no residents with expired Bed Tickets are sleeping in rooms/dorms.
  • Responsible for confidentiality of all records and information as required by law.
  • Ensures that other departments receive necessary paperwork
  • Maintains Intake petty cash bag as assigned
  • Performs additional duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Operations and Executive Director.

Skills and Abilities

  • Must possess highly proficient computer skills.
  • Must have previous customer service experience.
  • High level of inter-personal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Must possess a patient and caring burden for the homeless and the lost.
  • Must be able to handle things quickly, and be prepared for complex situations.
