Customer Care Representative/Lobby Screener - Bi-Lingual 

Description

The Customer Care Representative/Lobby Screener welcomes and screens visitors entering the facility.  This role requires a dependable and caring individual who has the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with clients, families, visitors and staff. When performing the role of Lobby Screener the duties require the ability to stand/walk for a three to four hour shift.

*Required to wear PPE (including masks, face shield, and gloves, if needed), frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizer.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Cordially greets clients, staff and visitors upon arrival and ask screening questions for patients/visitors entering the facility.   
  • Check patient/visitor’s temperature (contactless process), confirm not on No Entry List, and ensure protective mask is worn in compliance with state requirement.
  • Performs back up to front desk staff, including but not limited to:
  • Contact clients to remind them of their appointments and accurately document activity in client chart.
  • Manage multi-line phone and routing of calls to the appropriate individual.
  • Efficiently receive visitors and notify appropriate staff of their arrival.
  • Assess client referrals to ensure services are routed to appropriate provider.
  • Communicate wait times to clients/visitors and/or provide options for scheduling.
  • Collect copays and/or self-pay fees from clients as they check in.
  • Gather and maintain accurate client insurance and contact information. Make necessary updates and process insurance information.
  • Communicate cancellations to staff and clients.
  • Processes and distributes incoming and outgoing mail in a timely manner.
 
Position Requirements

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bi-Lingual required – Spanish preferred.
  • Two years’ experience using Microsoft Office products and demonstrated accuracy with data entry.
  • Ability to learn and apply specific operation and scheduling requirements of multiple locations. 
  • Experience using a medical records system.
  • Efficiency handling multiple priorities at once.
