Manufacturing Engineer - Cut/Sew/Wrap (CSW) 

Description
  • Evaluate Interior part design feasibility for cutting, sewing, wrapping and lamination processes
  • Procure cutting, sewing, wrapping and lamination equipment and tooling for both Prototype  and Production
  • Fabricate quote packages for all equipment and work with purchasing to source all tooling and equipment
  • Install all equipment and tools at Production facilities meeting all quality, uptime, scrap and program metrics
  • Manage equipment/tool builds and deliveries from suppliers at or below budget and on time
  • Ensure procured tools/equipment are built to Inteva specifications
  • Effectively interface with Inteva team members and customers on regular basis
  • Practice and abide by all Inteva Safety requirements and systems.
  • Work in a Team environment with other functional engineers and associates
  • Ability to travel Domestically and Internationally is a must
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  • Associate Degree and/or Equivalent Experience
  • Excellent equipment troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • 5 - 10 years’ experience in equivalent or similar field  required, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Creative problem solver in Cut, Sew, Wrap and Lamination of Interior Automotive parts
  • Familiarity with pattern development; IP, Console, and Door Soft Trim or Seating Soft Trim Pattern Making
  • Experience with sewing equipment in automotive
  • Work effectively in a team atmosphere
  • Strong degree of self-motivation and direction; Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks under demanding situations
  • Strong organizational, oral and written communication and documentation skills; Strong Project Management skills
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hands on skills to support all procured equipment and tools

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Familiarity with Product Development Process
  • Strong Auto-Cad capabilities or equivalent design software
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC’s
 
Education Requirement Associates Degree and/or a Minimum of 5 years experience in an equivalent field
