Share Email Opening Title Senior Financial Accountant (CCC)  Astronics Subsidiary Astronics CCC   Location Kent, WA   Description JOB SUMMARY The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for Financial Reporting and General Ledger including closing of accounting books and preparation of financial statements. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Prepare recurring and one-time monthly and quarterly journal entries Prepare and enter bi-weekly payroll journals and payroll accrual. Prepare all Balance Sheet reconciliations. Reconcile Customer Deposits and Customer Milestone billings to assist with invoicing and revenue recognition tasks. Responsibility for Inventory accounting, including maintaining inventory detail, preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, review and analysis of variances from standards, review and analysis of obsolete inventory. Responsibility for Fixed Assets accounting, including maintaining fixed asset detail, preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, review and analysis of depreciation expense and construction in progress. Financial Statement analysis including monthly analysis of changes in account balances. Quarterly preparation of schedules for submission to Corporate office, including SOX Controls testing. Responsible for Royalty reporting and accounting. Assist with preparation of state and local tax filings. Back up Accounting and Finance Manager for duties related to Revenue Accounting, Estimates at Completion, Business Development Support and costing of materials. Back up Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed. This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.   Position Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: BS in Accounting and 4- 6 years’ experience in accounting Design and/or manufacturing environment experience preferred Public company experience preferred Skills: Proficient with ERP system GAAP knowledge Revenue recognition knowledge required Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
