Digital Records Specialist 

  • Responsible for the developing and updating of policies and procedures for the transformation of hard-copy originals to digitally stored record-keeping copies.
  • Responsible for the development, updating and/or conducting of annual training of staff responsible for scanning hard-copy originals to digitally stored record-keeping copies. Included is the maintenance of a training log documenting the staff receiving trainings and dates of trainings.
  • Responsible for openly communicating and/or addressing any inaccuracies that occur within the digital records.
  • Responsible for openly communicating any digital records compliances issues to the supervisor, director and/or the compliance officer.
  • Identify areas of opportunities for growth to make the digital scanning process more efficient.
  • Democratically coordinate with the Quality Assurance Committee, IT director, Quality Officer, admin supervisor, and/or admin director to improve quality of documents being stored.
  • Adhere to seven recognized Sanctuary commitments which includes social responsibility, social learning, non-violence, open communication, democracy, emotional intelligence, growth and change.
Position Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED with training in office administration
  • Experience in administrative management of an office, including relevant aspects of use of electronic health records
  • Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances
