We need someone who takes pride in their work, gets satisfaction from accomplishing tasks, and understands the importance beautiful landscaping. In this position, you will be a member of our grounds team reporting to our Grounds Crew Supervisor and working closely with our Gardens and Grounds Manager to maintain and improve over 1200 acres of our beautiful property. This is a year round, full-time position with benefits.
Position: Groundskeeper
Location: Trump Winery - 20 Minutes South of Downtown Charlottesville
Schedule: M-F - 7AM to 3:30PM w/ some flexibility needed
Wage: $12 to $15/hr with overtime available

On a typical day, you will:
- Complete tasks included but not limited to: weeding, watering, planting, sweeping, raking, snow removal, edging, shrub bed renewal/installation/repair, mulching, seeding, exterior/interior plant care, mowing, trimming, pruning, transplanting, & composting
- Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, chainsaws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes
- Gather and remove litter
- Dress professionally and appropriately for the job
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Have attention to detail and accuracy, and cultivate a high-end guest experience
- Maintain a professional attitude with all employees, customers and vendors
- Provide assistance as needed completing and collaborating on projects/tasks
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work on feet for eight hours a day
- Able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 70 pounds
- Frequently bend over, kneel, twist, reach overhead, climb stairs, ladders, and walk varied surfaces (paved, incline, uneven, etc.)
- Ability to read, write and speak English or Spanish
- Knowledge of lawn care and/or landscaping
- Ability to operate small power equipment and tools safely
