You will need to be a natural trainer and be confident in your own ability. Our client base consists of predominantly scientific professionals that really know their stuff, and our cutting-edge products are highly versatile. This means there is significant scope for queries and a challenging learning environment that requires a knowledgeable technical trainer.

L7 Informatics (L7) is looking for a leader to train our customers to use our revolutionary Enterprise Science Platform and longer term help build a training organization.

The successful candidate will be confident working autonomously but also closely with the broader teams, in particular Support and Sales. Having the right personality is just as important as technical ability - we work hard, but we like our workplace to be fun and friendly too.

 

Hiring Locations:  Austin Texas and Raleigh NC

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, facilitate and present training courses
  • Building relationships with customers
  • Technical Expert, assisting Sales and Support teams as required
  • Assistance with technical documentation and providing a feedback loop
  • Project engineering, providing technical expertise to assist with ascertaining requirements in collaboration with the sales team
  • Ensuring the customer knowledge base is advanced with key product information where applicable
  • Support sales and marketing in demonstrating software capabilities to potential customers (while answering technical questions, etc.)
  • Contribute to L7’s standard/core content library and SDK
  • Contribute to L7’s customer implementation DevOps improvements and maintenance
  • Translate customer needs into new core product software requirements
 
Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as computational biology, bioinformatics, molecular genetics, etc.
  • Background in both computational and wet-lab sciences
  • Previous experience with distributed version control tools
  • Comfortable working from the Linux command line, especially bash
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of and experience with next-generation sequencing wet-lab and analysis methodologies
  • Experience with computational modeling of real-world processes
