Pharmacy Section Lead - 1st shift (Davie location)

Summary/Objective:


The Pharmacy Section Lead is responsible for performing senior level warehouse duties including preparing for production by reviewing production schedule; studying and clarifying specifications and calculating requirements. The Pharmacy Section Lead assures the accuracy of all documentation by completing forms, reports, logs, and records of equipment and batches.

Essential Functions:

  • Assure the pharmacy and equipment are clean, neat and in an orderly manner at all times.
  • Assure that all logbooks, manufacturing records, and other official documents, are completed in an accurate and timely manner. (room release logbooks, A-Clean, B-Clean and monthly deep cleans, clean scoops logbook).
  • Requisition materials needed from the warehouse. Verify that all materials received are correct, released, and within the expired period. Assure all containers are clean prior to use, assuring that they are free from dust and debris
  • Assure that all weighing and verifying of batches are done properly and accurately to the current SOP’s.
  • Assure that the scale calibrations are done accurately daily and logged properly.
  • Make sure each pharmacy room is GMP/PPE compliant and audit ready at all times.
  • Run and post weighing and verifying errors on a weekly basis.
  • Run all “cooispi” status reports on a daily basis to assure accuracy.
  • Guide/Assist/Mentor all pharmacy room leads and personnel to help assure best results.

 

Required Education and Experience:

  •     High School diploma or equivalent.
  •     3 - 5 years’ relevant warehousing experience.
  •     Good mathematical and counting skills.
  •     Strong attention to numerical details.
  •     Fluency in the English language.
  •     Must be able to perform required repetitive lifting and scooping tasks.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  •     Proficiency with basic computer skills.
  •     Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  •     Experience with RF (radio frequency) scanner system.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions in the plant. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. This position is very active and the employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl all day.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Objects weighing 55 pounds or more must be accompanied by a second individual to avoid injury.
