Share Email Opening Title AR Specialist L1   Description POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION   The Accounts Receivable Specialist Level 1 will be responsible for assisting in client collections, customer contract maintenance, entering customer and vendor invoices, reconciling customer statements, payment applications and daily client billing verification.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Creates all monthly and usage based billings to send to customers. Deposits checks on a daily basis and applies all payments received to customer accounts. Reconciles customer accounts. Runs client credit cards payments for customer accounts. Assist in collections activities for past due accounts and works with AR specialist Level 2 to determine when to escalate collection attempts. Customer contract management and maintenance of our billing and reporting systems. Participate in month end close journal entries as assigned by the Supervisor of Revenue Accounting Backup for AR Specialist Level 2 to include journal entries, AR module close, reconciliations and reporting. Reconciling daily customer billing and client portal entry Assists with special projects as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Knowledge of standard accounts receivable practices Strong communication, organization and customer service skills Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Excellent analytical, research and problem solving skills. Ability to work efficiently and productively in a multi-task deadline oriented environment independently with minimal supervision. Ability to identify and analyze problems using sound judgment and determine solutions. Self-motivated, dedicated, flexible, good team player. Initiative and ability to own projects from start to finish can approach tasks strategically. Ability to maintain confidentiality   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High school diploma required Some accounting education required, Accounting related college degree preferred 2+ years accounts receivable or general accounting experience Large ERP system or Oracle experience preferred   Position Requirements PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending. Able to hear and speak into a telephone. Close visual work on a computer terminal. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments. Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. Able to climb a ladder and work on a raised platform.   WORK CONDITIONS Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.
