The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering Outside Plant (OSP) field data collection in various locations in Houston and surrounding areas. The candidate will visit multiple job locations daily and collect, record and analyze existing field conditions related to aerial cables and poles, Underground structures such as handholes and manholes, cabinets and terminals and Street/Right of Way measurements, Utilities (water, storm, gas, pipes. All type of easements). The candidate will also be expected to determine ideal locations and situations for above ground/buried/underground equipment and cables and identify issues in the field that may impact network designs. Requirements will include among others capturing and submitting data (pictures, KMZ, pole measurements), accurately evaluating, and capturing existing telecommunication plant conditions. Previous experience with utility construction in an outside plant environment, as well as experience reading or designing utility work prints is a plus. Responsibilities: • Travel to multiple job locations daily to collect data for proposed designs for field accuracy and propose adjustments as needed. • Take notes, field measurements and photos of utility poles, equipment, cables, proposed equipment locations and existing customer telecommunications equipment rooms. • Interact with the on-site customer to determine pre-construction/installation requirements and complete all necessary Site Visit Checklists and other related documents. • Walk and work outdoors daily, in different weather conditions.         Position Requirements Utility construction in an outside plant environment preferred. Reading and analyzing utility work prints preferred. Aerial, underground, or buried telecom infrastructure preferred. Past field data collection experience Valid driver’s license, car insurance, clean driving record and reliable transportation is required. ATT experience or related.
