Professional Services Consultant

EOE StatementAscentis is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Description

The Professional Services Consultant is responsible for working with clients who have recently purchased Ascentis products - specifically Payroll and Workforce Management. Our Consultants focus on delivering consulting services during the entire implementation process. Consulting duties consist of gathering business requirements, designing holistic solutions, configuring applications, testing solutions, educating clients, and helping drive user adoption. Our consultants wear many hats, but their role is vital to getting Ascentis users started on a path to success. The client’s leadership and broader user community should walk away from the implementation with positive expectations for this solution and have a solid foundation to a long-term relationship with Ascentis. Centered around our cultural norms, you will deliver an unsurpassed and personalized client experience.

Cultural Norms

What is a day in the life of a Consultant?

Our Consultant’s workday is predictably unpredictable. Nearly every day will include multiple meetings with clients in your portfolio as you lead them through the different stages of an Ascentis implementation. Flexibility is key as you will often find yourself taking on one client call focused on understanding their business needs, moving to another client call focused on planning to “go-live”, and then maneuver to another client call to deliver training. If it isn’t obvious yet, organization and the ability to balance multiple clients and varying needs is critical to this role’s success. Additional core expectations of the Professional Services Consultant include:

  • Determine the customer’s definition of success for their business goals and needs
  • Consult with the assigned Project Manager on mapping out the best plan to achieve success
  • Coordinate the necessary resources to execute the plan in a timely manner
  • Manage the communication with the customer to insure the customer’s concerns and priorities are known to the team
  • Consistently meet your deliverables throughout the lifecycle of the customer project
  • Train virtually via web presentations and conduct online customer meetings
  • Provide status updates on progress of implementation to appropriate leadership, Project Managers and Sales Representatives
  • Escalate product and process issues as necessary, both internally and to the customer
  • If significant customizations are required, prepare a statement of work to clearly define the scope of work and estimated hours to complete it
  • Ascentis fosters an environment of continuous learning, both for product knowledge as well as professional skills. You will engage in knowledge sharing so all can benefit from the collective wisdom
