Job Summary

Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Senior Accountant is responsible for a wide variety of accounting duties. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, resourceful, and has experience with Sage Intacct.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain all financial data in the accounting system
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Reconcile bank accounts on a daily transactional basis
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Process sales orders for daily invoicing
  • Process expense reimbursements
  • Review and process vendor payables
  • Import data from other systems as necessary
  • Oversee sales tax filing and remittance
  • Remit retirement plan contributions
  • Assist with month-end close process
  • Participate in year-end audit procedures
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • At least five years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Sage Intacct experience a plus.
