Job Title: Graphic Arts Technical Coordinator

Reports to: Graphic Arts Project Manager

Department: Customer Service

Classification (exempt or nonexempt): nonexempt

Position summary:  Responsible for performing pre-press activities with the print specifications; preparing and organizing files; self-motivated and organized to ensure all quotes, purchase orders and sales orders are entered correctly and all deadlines are achieved.

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • Experienced Pre-Press Operator
    • Candidates must have at least 1-3 years’ experience in the print industry
    • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
    • Experience working with Esko and Artpro
    • Setting up mechanical files for print – color management, separating, trapping, proofing
    • Knowledge of rotogravure cylinders and print a plus
    • Attend print runs as needed

 

  • Customer Service / Admin duties
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Write up spec forms for internal and external distribution
    • Hold and attend New Product Launch meetings as needed
    • Preparing and issuing quotes
    • Data entry of sales orders / purchase orders
    • Mail proofs and samples as needed
    • Submit ACR documents to Quality including approved electronic files and hard proofs for new graphics
    • Submit ACR documents to Quality for obsolete items
  • Qualifications desired:

  • Knowledge of rotogravure cylinders and print a plus

 

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls: reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is/or may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection. Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.

 

Performance standards:

  • 30,60,90-day Assessment
  • Annual performance appraisal
