About the Organization Red Oak Recovery, a CARF accredited program, is a premier clinically-driven therapy program for young adults and adolescents. We are here to serve clients, families, and other stakeholders through a very difficult time. Our team provides gender-specific treatment for young adults ages 18-30, and adolescent males 14-17 struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues. Our licensed and experienced staff provide the most clinically sophisticated and integrative substance abuse and mental health treatment available.

As a small clinically-driven program we have the ability to meet each client where they are mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally to design a treatment experience that is unique to them.

Description

The Willows at Red Oak Recovery is located in the beautiful rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just outside of Asheville N.C. We are a clinically dynamic, trauma intensive substance abuse and mental health treatment program designed specifically for the unique needs of young adult women, ages 18-35. Our focus is on clinical care, and we utilize the latest research-supported clinical modalities to ensure positive outcomes.

 

We are looking for qualified and motivated individuals who are passionate about helping young adults through their recovery process, to join the Red Oak Recovery team in the role of Shift Supervisor.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure the physical and emotional safety of both the clients and direct care staff
  • Provide support to the direct care staff and ensure that the direct care staff are properly equipped to facilitate the program schedule for our clients
  • Provide mentoring, feedback, and coaching to direct care staff
  • Provide support to direct care staff in times of crisis or client escalation
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of client intake and outfitting
  • Provide support to the medical coordinator and performs those duties in his or her absence
  • Provide logistical support to Direct Care Staff to ensure they have items needed to perform their job efficiently and effectively each day. This includes, but not limited to, attending morning logistical meeting and gassing up vehicles.
  • Communicate concerns between different aspects of our program in an effort to maintain the ROR standards of excellence in client care
  • Help facilitate base programming by supporting the needs of contracted activities and therapist
  • Dispense medications to clients on time and accurately. Document medication dispensing.

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum one year’s experience in the field of substance abuse or a related human services field.
  • Must have current certifications in WFR/ CPR/ First Aid and NCI Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI). 
  • Must be willing to work all shifts

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or social work preferred. 
  • CSAC or CSAC-I preferred
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills, ability to exercise sound judgment in times of crisis, attention to detail
  • Competence in Microsoft Office
