Description

Primary Therapist needed for Male Trauma Unit in Philadelphia County for a full-time, temp to perm position.

The Primary Therapist will provide quality direct and indirect patient care to individuals with co-occurring disorders including history of trauma. Provide individual counseling services to clients with co-occurring disorders. Provide group psychoeducation. Conduct assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment. Provide group and family therapies using various professional treatment modalities.

Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans. Provides Crisis Intervention, assessing client and providing therapeutic interventions, making appropriate referral for service. Performs documentation activities in a timely and accurate fashion adhering to State and Local Licensing laws well as policy requirements in regard to the format of documentations. Participates in training and development for the purpose of professional growth and skill enhancement.

 
Position Requirements

MSW with a minimum of 2 years’ experience providing therapy/counseling. Inpatient experience, preferred. Must be able to address and prioritize multiple task demands within established time frame with experience working with adult drug and alcohol population. Good written and oral communication skills; skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention; skills in provision of group and individual psychotherapy; skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
