Deployed Training Team Training Subject Matter Expert

Summary: The purpose of the Joint Capability Embedded Technology Insertion and Integration (JCETII) TO is to expand upon current Partner Nation Forces capabilities and technologies for observation, visualization, and collaboration among tactical, operational, and strategic warfighting echelons. Foreign security forces have benefitted from US Special Operations Forces training, mentoring, and advising through building partner capacity programs and other programs since 1999. These foreign security forces continue to be relevant partners to deter, prevent, disrupt, capture, and prosecute known terrorists and terrorist organizations. To maintain the effectiveness of each foreign security partner, it is critical to conduct professional initial operator and operator sustainment training at the appropriate levels and intensities to both maintain and enhance each unit's mission effectiveness. This effort has been established to conduct or support programs providing training and equipment to national security forces of foreign countries for the purpose of building capacity of Partner Nations to conduct one or more of the following activities:

  1. Counterterrorism operations
  2. Counter-illicit drug trafficking operations
  3. Counter-transnational organized crime operations
  4. Maritime and border security operations
  5. Military intelligence operations

Operations or activities that contribute to an international coalition operation that is determined by the Secretary to be in the national interest of the United States.

Deployed Training Teams (DTT) and all resources required to support education and training to host Nation Forces in austere environments.

Country and Training:

  • Sri Lanka Training Details. Close Quarters Combat - Visit, board, search, and seizure (VBSS) centric.
  • Thailand Royal Thai Army (RTA) Training Details. RTA - Basic Pistol and Rifle Small Unit Tactics (SUT) / Full Mission Profile (FMP).
  • Thailand Training Details. RTA - Tactical Combat Casualty Care/Combat (TCCC) lifesaver, Puma/Raven AEII Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems.
  • Thailand Training Details. Border Patrol Police (BPP) - Border Security Training
  • Mongolia Civil Military Operations (CMO) Prime Coordinator
  • Republic of the Philippines - SUT/Marksmanship (MMS) / Precision Marksmanship

Security Clearance: Minimal Background Check Investigation

Position:

Training Subject Matter Expert (SME): Trains designated PNF students according to specific POIs. Plans for training events, resources, manages training sights, issues equipment, coordinates all supporting logistics for each training event, ensures all POI objectives and tasks are completed, controls quality, and implements safety procedures. Produces daily reports, AARs, and Gap Analysis according to Attachment XXX Deliverables Schedule.

Engages with PNFs, designated US Military and Embassy key stakeholders; reports to the Senior Trainer.

Requirements:

Will have at least 5 years' experience serving on one of the following: U.S. Army Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA), U.S. Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training, U.S. Naval SEAL, U.S. Air Force Special Tactics Squadron, U.S. Navy Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training, or U.S. Explosive Ordinance Disposal (or equivalent).

Training SME staff shall be qualified in subject relevant qualifications, to include, but not limited to:

Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and Marksmanship - Special Forces Advanced Reconnaissance Target Analysis Exploitation Techniques Course (SFARTAETC), MARSOC Master Assaulter Course, U.S. Navy Naval Small Craft Instruction, Technical Training and Precision Marksmanship.

Small Unit Tactics (SUT) - US Army Ranger School, SF Qualification Course, SEAL Qualification Training (SQT), MARSOC Special Operations Training Course,

TCCC - US Army Special Forces Medical Sargent (MOS 18D), US Navy Special Operations Combat Medic/Special Warfare Combatant Craft Crewmen Corpsman, US Marines Recon Corpsman, and MARSOC Hospital Corpsman.

UAV. US Army Certified Group 1 SUAS Operator / certified (Puma/Raven) able to conduct Initial Qualifications Training (IQT) and coordinate ATP sustainment training requirements.
