Ingleside Communities has a unique opportunity..... We're hiring for a Medical Records / Health Unit Coordinator position that has recently become available.

We're located in beautiful Mount Horeb, WI just 15 minutes west of Madison, and have a reputation for providing quality care to seniors in the Madison and surrounding communities since 1972. The Medical Records/Health Unit Coordinator provides administrative functions in support of the nursing staff in the delivery of care and services to residents at our 80 bed skilled nursing facility. They transcribe physician orders, complete ICD10 coding, coordinate physician and other medical visits, and arrange resident transportation to and from appointments. They are also responsible for maintaining all resident medical charts and documentation, assisting in answering and routing incoming phone calls, and filling in for CNA coverage when needed. They will demonstrates leadership and fosters a positive and nurturing environment for residents and staff.

Position Requirements

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current CNA (or be willing to become a CNA within 6 months of hire)
  • Minimum one year administrative work in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in ICD-10 Coding
  • Detal oriented
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Computer literacy in documentation and Microsoft Office software
  • Health Unit Coordinator Certification (Preferred)
  • Prior experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting (Preferred)
  • Must be English literate and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
