Share Email Opening Title Maintenance Technician--Night Shift  Category Maintenance   Description Primary Responsibilities Repairs distribution center equipment and machines, such as lift trucks, material handling equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, using hand and power tools. Inspects, installs, replaces, rebuilds, and/or aligns mechanical parts, lighting systems and electrical components. Uses precision measuring / testing equipment and reviews electrical drawings in order to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems. Reviews mechanical blueprints and manuals to identify parts to be ordered. Ability to complete repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and knowledge of building requirements for each system Requires detailed knowledge of maintenance procedures, preventive maintenance schedules and distribution center equipment Requires analytical ability necessary to analyze, diagnose and correct moderately complex mechanical problems Completes work order forms according to established procedures Records part numbers and other pertinent order information on hard copy forms and forwards to appropriate persons for processing Maintains a professional, helpful attitude in dealings with co-workers, supervisors and their departmental personnel at all times Cleans and maintains work area to ensure safety as well as easy retrieval of tools and equipment Has demonstrated abilities to perform preventive maintenance tasks on forklifts and conveyor systems without supervision Requires some janitorial activities Demonstrates a basic knowledge of welding, cutting and carpentry experience Always uses proper lockout/tagout procedures and follows safety procedures within the facility   Position Requirements 5-7 years experience in facilities/ maintenance Associate’s Degree or Vocational Training Self-starter, driven individual Ability to prioritize actions and projects   Full-Time/Part-Time -unspecified-   Shift -not applicable-   Travel 0-10%   Open Date 7/6/2020   Location PSP Distribution - Seymour, IN   About the Organization ABOUT PET SUPPLIES PLUS Pet Supplies Plus is focused on making it easier to get better products for your pet.
