We are looking for a 1st Shift Apprentice Toolmaker to join our team!
Primary function of this position is to perform preventative maintenance on molds and prepare them for the next production run. This individual will be exposed to a variety of complex injection molds and will learn how they go together and function. The ultimate goal is to grow this individual into a Journeyman Toolmaker.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on production molds and fixtures
- Repair or revise production molds and fixtures
- Machine mold and fixture components using manual machines
- Provide constructive feedback and input to engineering regarding mold performance and preventative maintenance issues
- Maintain a clean and orderly work space.
- Read and follow up on daily e-mails.
- Work with the team to meet delivery dates.
- Other task as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required, 2 year technical or trade school preferred with an emphasis on mold making.=
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; competent written and verbal skills
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude
- Mechanical comprehension of complex plastic injection molds a plus
- Strong organization skills (schedules and workload priorities)
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs unaided
