Description

The incumbent is responsible to the Project Manager or Assistant for leadership of individual crews. Is lead in keeping offices, restrooms, hallways, elevators, stairways, docks, courtrooms and administrative areas in a clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Maintains individual performance of all employees on crew.
  2. Performs inspections on all jobs involved before crew has departed the area.
  3. Ensures that employees are trained and cross trained in all areas of janitorial services.
  4. Provides training in all areas of the operation to all assigned personnel. Prepares and maintains training records.
  5. Counsels and annotates discipline for all workers and assists each, when necessary, with resolving problems. Contacts Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager before written discipline is administered.
  6. Assures adequate expendable supplies and equipment are on van.
  7. Makes sure van is cleaned and restocked at the end of the day.
  8. Reports any mechanical problem to management.
  9. Makes all inspection records available to management.
  10. Ensures that crews are cleaning in a timely manner.
  11. Evaluates assigned employees in accordance with established guidelines.
  12. Ensures that crew has properly signed in/out and work time is accurate.
  13. Enforces standards of production, personal grooming and quality as required.
  14. May be required to work a flexible schedule to ensure production, quality and customer satisfaction are met.
  15. May be required to drive vehicle to/from work sites.

 

 
Position Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in working with individuals with disabilities. Experience working in custodial work. Ability to work well with others. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these qualifications.

Must possess current driver’s license, have and maintain current liability insurance coverage and a good safe driving record.
