BASIC FUNCTION:

Manages the Printing teams in the manufacturing of quality products, supporting company goals and objectives

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management of Process Standards, Results & Improvements

  • Manages printing production, driving improved customer quality, reliability, and cost reduction. Identifies and implements improvements as necessary.
  • Creates and maintains production standards based on best practices, company goals and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee/leads customer complaint investigation related to the process. Analyzes root causes of process deviations and determines corrective measures to achieve efficient and consistent production processes.
  • Provides technical support to Sales Team and Product Development as needed.

Leadership

  • Manages Crew Supervisors responsible for all elements of supervision including hiring, terminations, recognition, discipline, training, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Achieves high levels of employee engagement, encouraging the utilization of company programs and supervisor creativity.
  • Creates key performance indicator’s (KPI’s) in conjunction with Plant Manager and communicates desired results to supervisors.
  • Promotes a strong safety and quality culture, promoting new and existing programs and processes
  • Evaluates employee performance and conducts performance reviews while supporting employee growth and career development.
  • Designs and develops training programs and maps out training schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Printing machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. \
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, and personnel information systems.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote) and Enterprise Resource Planning Software (ERP).
  • Listening, English speaking and English writing skills required to accurately interpret what others are saying and organize and express thoughts clearly.
  • Strong coordination skills to adjust actions in relation to others' actions.
  • Logic and reasoning skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Judgment and decision making skills, considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Complex problem solving skills, identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Proficient at color matching.
  • The ability to plan and manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.
  • The ability to inspire guide, and coach employees in the performance of their work and monitors performance.
  • Ability to pass color proficiency test and color blindness test.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree in Manufacturing Operations, and /or equivalent education and experience required.
  • 3-5 years of machine process operation preferred.
  • 3-5 years of leadership/management experience desired.
