Share Email Opening Title Radiologic Technician  Position Radiologic Technician   Req Number MED-20-00028   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Open Date 6/23/2020   Description SUMMARY: The Radiologic Technologist performs technical diagnostic imaging procedures and related activities according to ODCHC standards for all patients served. Serves as customer service representative to patients, their families, the public and medical staff. Participates in quality control and organizational improvement activities. Participates in call schedule to meet staffing needs of the clinic.   Position Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reads and interprets written materials such as prescriptions, physician’s orders, policies and procedures, safety regulations, and equipment operating instructions. Interprets a variety of instructions presented in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule format. Writes routine reports, notes and memoranda. Routinely calculates changes in radiographic technique factors. Solves practical problems and deals effectively with situations where only limited standardization exists. When treating patients of a specific age group must be aware of the regulatory and accreditation requirements specific to that population. The specific information and skills related to this position in this job description include the following age group populations: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Adherence to ODCHC attendance policy. Other duties and responsibilities as designated by supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: Speaks and writes effectively Knowledge of basic arithmetic and algebraic concepts such as proportions, percentages, and simple equations with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to concentrate on details in a busy and distracting environment. Basic computer skills related to simple data entry are essential. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduate of a program in radiologic technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association. Possesses a valid certificate as a Certified Radiologic Technologist in Diagnostic Radiology. Current CPR certification is required. Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is desired. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Speaking and hearing sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person, at normal volumes. Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Good manual dexterity. Kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling are required on an occasional basis. Standing and walking are completed frequently and continuously throughout the work shift Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Frequently, the employee lifts or positions 200+ pound patients with the assistance of patient transfer devices and/or other staff members. Frequently, the employee is required to perform the essential duties of the position while wearing a 16 pound, lead-lined apron, lead gloves, and other protective apparel.   Wage Range   EOE Statement Open Door is an equal opportunity employer.
