Location HDT (Solon, OH-Corporate)  


Responsible for supporting computer defenses, to include auditing the network for vulnerabilities, developing solutions for security issues, and investigating security breaches. This role is also responsible for other tasks and initiatives including assisting with IT security compliance such as conducting scheduled internal compliance auditing/testing to ensure we are meeting our process and policy requirements as well as making and implementing recommendations for improvements in process or systems)


  • Installs/monitors security measures and operates software such as such as Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Firewalls, Host Based Security System (HBSS), Correlates network activity across networks to identify trends of unauthorized use
  • Works with current MSSP to assist in triage events
  • Reviews alerts and data from sensors and documents formal, technical incident reports
  • Researches emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of network incidents
  • Provides reports with incident response support, including mitigating actions to contain activity and facilitating forensics analysis when necessary
  • Validates new computer images, software, switch hardware and routers before implementation to ensure Security measures are being met
  • Supports the creation of business continuity/disaster recovery plans, to include conducting disaster recovery tests, publishing test results, and making changes necessary to address deficiencies
  • Assists with compliance requirements such as NIST 800-171 or other required compliances needed
  • Conducts scheduled internal compliance auditing/testing to ensure we are meeting our process and policy requirements.

  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related field preferred


  • 3 plus years of work experience in information security
  • Familiar with Vulnerability assessment tools (Qualys, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in operating system hardening procedures (Windows, Linux, etc.)
  • Experience with network sniffers and packet tracing tools
  • Experience with encryption technologies
  • Experience with SIEM technologies
  • Knowledgeable with application whitelisting/blacklisting technologies
  • Basic knowledge of Windows server and desktop operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of switches and routers
  • Basic knowledge of firewall and intrusion prevention systems
  • Basic understand of data loss prevention, threat protection and anti-malware tools
