Front Office/Desk Supervisor 

Location Black Rock Mountain Resort  
Description

The Primary duty of the Front Desk Supervisor is to supervise the guest service representatives and ensures quality customer service is provided to all guest. Oversees the handling of guest complaints and requests. Supervises the front office area operations. May be asked to participate in the hiring process of guest service staff. Prepares front desk schedule according to projected business demands.

DUTY TASKS:

  • Supervises the activities of front desk staff.
  • Trains, cross-trains and retrains all front Office personnel.
  • Assists with front office schedules.
  • Supervises workloads during shifts.
  • Maintains working relationships and communicates with all departments.
  • Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated.
  • Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintains and updates group information. Maintains monitors and prepares group requirements. Relays information to appropriate personnel.
  • Reviews and completes credit limit report.
  • Works within the allotted labor standards for the front desk.
  • Maintains and contributes to the shift log, noting problems, special guests and work needing to be completed.
  • Enforces all cash handling, check cashing and credit policies.
  • Wears the proper uniform at all times. Requires and enforces all front office employees to wear proper uniforms and name tags at all times.
  • Assists General Manager with any and all projects or duties as assigned.

                        

 
Position Requirements

EDUCATION: General high school education or better preferred. Must speak, read, write and understand the Primary language used in the workplace and by Guests who visit the workplace.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of hotel front desk, or other Accommodations supervisory experience, experience handling cash, accounting procedures and general administrative tasks.

PHYSICAL: Requires fingering, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, verbal communications and visual acuity. On occasion may be required to lift up to 15 pounds.
