Description

Eagle Harbor Solutions (EHS) is looking for a senior-level Database Specialist for our location in Washington DC or St. Louis, MO. The Specialist will support EHS and our government client.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides product support and maintenance of the data warehouse.
  • Performs data warehouse design and construction.
  • Prepares/implements data verification and testing methods for the data warehouse
  • Coordinate and manage database activities to support application development projects.
  • Provide functional and technical support to ensure the performance, operation, and stability of database systems.
  • Manage data exporting and importing across database systems.
  • Provide database connectivity and access support throughout the organization.
  • Prepare documentation of all database procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide high-level support to customers daily.
  • Respond to database related queries and issues in a timely fashion.
  • Monitor database activities on a daily basis to ensure the reliability and security of databases.
  • Ensure that database is properly tested, and bugs are fixed appropriately.
  • Assist in optimizing database for operational and performance efficiency.
  • Assist in database management, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Assist in database enhancements and modifications as per customer requests.
  • Prepare database project status reports to the project manager.
  • Work with programmers, QA team, and security personnel to execute database projects according to customer requirements.
  • Prepare database reports for managers as needed.
 
Position Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years processional experience
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion and Tableau required
  • Experience with OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) and BI Publisher
  • Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments
  • Performs work that requires practical experience and training??????????????

 

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
