Strategic Alliances Business Development Manager

The Strategic Alliances Sales team is made up of driven sales professionals who come to Ascentis to make a direct impact in a fast-paced, growing organization. The Strategic Alliances Business Development Manager will drive growth through growing strategic alliances relationships. Through effective management and strategic oversight this person will create and build sales and partnership opportunities to be pursued by the Strategic Alliances Business Development Manager and Ascentis Account Executives. Centered around our cultural norms, you will be a key contributor to the growth of Ascentis in the $18 billion HCM industry.

What are the general responsibilities of the position?

  • Responsible for building and developing strong strategic alliances in an exciting, fast paced, and competitive marketplace
  • Leading and participating in discussions on the strategic direction of our alliances strategy
  • Identifying potential new strategic alliances for Ascentis to pursue
  • Active participation in all facets of the sales process with alliance partners
  • Pipeline development and management of partners along with maintaining reporting and visibility into performance against all revenue and activity KPI’s
  • Working with other teams and members of Ascentis to drive growth and expansion with our alliance partners


Position Requirements

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • Experience building strategic alliances with mid to large ERP providers (ie. SAP/Oracle/Microsoft) and associated value added resellers and systems integrators
  • Experience selling to “C” level Executives and multiple decision makers
  • A strong self-starter with the desire and flexibility to operate in a fast-paced technology company
  • Experience and willingness to sell and work in a highly collaborative, team first environment
  • Experience and/or the ability to drive revenue through the efforts of others is required
  • Qualified candidates must possess the ability to maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet our core values and culture
  • Experience in a environment is highly desired
  • Up to 25% travel

Education/experience/technical considerations:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of successful channel and/or alliances experience
  • Experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) and/or Work Force Management (WFM) required
