FoxGuard Solutions is looking to add a full-time Systems Engineer to join its team of passionate and creative thinkers. You will be responsible for delivering superb technical competency and ensuring the highest levels of overall performance and security. You will gain experience in industrial systems design, high end training computers, rack solutions design and integration, and system compliance and certification. What you will be doing ….
Technical lead on new projects as assigned by Lead engineer. Maintain constant communication and tracking of all activities and progress with appropriate teams. Use effective project management skills to complete projects in a timely, efficient, and productive manner.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customers, and Vendors to identify components to meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Design and test complete computer systems to work at the customer site, taking compatibility, environmental, and functionality issues into account.
- Test peripherals and system components with the complete computer system and software they will be shipped with to ensure compatibility.
- Test new software configurations for new or changed product.
- Provide practical solutions for designs by considering cost compared to quality so as to provide customer with a high quality product at a reasonable cost.
- Research and specify hardware, software and other technologies based on given requirements.
- Evaluate, test and qualify hardware and software and prepare technical reports detailing results.
- Build prototype systems as needed to ensure prototype meets requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation of build procedures used to aid with transition to manufacturing.
- Work with outside manufacturers and vendors to provide solutions for specific problems encountered with products and components.
- Collaborate with Engineering Specialists and other team members to prepare electrical, mechanical and system designs as needed.
- Act as escalation point for the Fulfillment Engineering team.
- Assist with training of new hires and other teams when appropriate or requested by Lead Engineer.
- Less than 5% travel is expected, mainly domestic destinations; however, international travel is possible.
What you will bring to the table…
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering from four-year college or university, or six years of related engineering experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Required certifications or the equivalent of CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ and/or the ability to obtain within the first 12 months of hire
- Must be current on run rate Microsoft desktop operating system
The ideal candidate will have:
- Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCP Certification, Microsoft MCTS on mainstream server operating system.
