What You Would Be Doing

The Information Technology Manager will be responsible for supporting Boundless, a large multi-site organization in aligning the IT strategy with the business strategy and services provided. This will include project planning and execution, as well as evolving the strategic road map over time. Working in partnership with the IT Director, this individual will assist in providing technology-related vision and leadership for the development and implementation of Information Technology (IT) initiatives that help Boundless run efficiently and meet industry best practices. This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some evenings/on-call hours as needed.

  • Monitors information technology hardware and application performance to ensure they are setup for high availability and performance, testing for validity of results, accuracy, reliability and conformance to established standards.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and improve quality, quantify impact, prioritize initiatives, and develop execution plans.
  • Manage and build customer relationships and create client satisfaction, ensuring all requirements, schedules, deliverables and milestones are met for IT requests, tasks, and projects.
  • Manage servers, storage devices, firewalls, network switches and routers, IP phone and wireless systems to ensure they are up and secure.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Networking, MDM, VoIP.
  • Manage multiple cloud based, hosted solutions including Office 365, Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve in both technical and operational situations; eager to identify solutions.
  • Actively participate in planning, education and execution of new company rollouts i.e. systems, technology, policies & procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and/or managing IT projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technology, infrastructure and process needs and requirements with all personnel levels; oral and written communication.
  • Assist with the development and maintaining a Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Coach and develop all direct reports, as well as conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent combination of education and progressive, related experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Proven working experience in a management position or relevant experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Certification and/or experience in any of the following: CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, CISSP, PMP, or ITIL in SQL-based operational systems, Windows server environments, and Cloud applications, including Office365.
  • Experience in the field of developmental disabilities is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position will supervise all staff in the IT department.
