What you will be doing:

  • Lead multiple projects across departments from start to completion working directly with appropriate business leaders to understand project concept, objectives, approach and priorities across the project spectrum
  • In partnership with the Managers, create, implement, and manage processes that will drive quality, efficiency, and scale
  • Organizes, manages and directs project team tasks and assures proper application of ePMO standards, tools and methodologies in project work
  • Provides project management controls, project plans, timeline schedules, and facilitates communication between team members to meet changing needs and requirement
  • Provides reporting to the executive staff illustrating the progress of projects and associated barriers to success.   Understands techniques to identify and manage risk impact and exposure
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately, utilizing the ePMO technology and documentation methodology
  • Maintains standard PM artifacts and ensures project documentation meets audit/controls standards
  • Individual contributor with ability to lead cross functional teams supporting projects in a matrixed organization

 

What you bring to the team:

  • Understanding of standard project methodologies and approach;  Ability to manage projects/programs using these methodologies
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Advanced experience in PowerPoint presentation abilities;  Intermediate MS Excel Skills;  Good knowledge of entire MS Office suite
  • Excellent leadership, listening, interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to understand the organization's goals and objectives as well as detailed functional objectives as they apply to work assignments.
  • Works in a cooperative and supportive manner with all stakeholders and stakeholder teams.
  • Rigor to deliver tasks on-time and provide high quality deliverables
  • Ability to absorb new information and relate back to project delivery as appropriate
  • Sees tasks through to completion by taking ownership and responsibility.

Preferred Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree a plus)
  • Project Management Certification is a plus (CAPM, PMI, PMP).
  • Experience in working as both a Program Manager (across multiple projects/project work streams) and Project Manager (individual projects)
  • Experience in leading Supply Chain/Logistics oriented projects a plus
  • Experience in managing projects in an SAP ERP environment a plus
  • + years of related project management experience; Life Sciences industry experience preferred  
  • Highly developed Microsoft Project skills and other tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Box
  • Proficient in using MS Excel to produce reporting and project spend summaries
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint to produce Project status updates and other presentations
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong professional acumen for managing issues, as well as communicating and interacting with individuals across all levels of the company
  • Ability to lead both smaller scale and larger enterprise type projects
  • Detail oriented individual across all areas (including documentation quality, capturing action and ensuring all project tasks stay on track)
  • Willingness to work under tight deadlines and commitment to project success
  • Excellent leadership skills-ability to drive issues to closure and lead project teams in an organized approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain standardized artifacts and up to date documentation
