Description

Valley Community Services Board is seeking an RN or LPN to provide nursing services for individuals with developmental, intellectual and complex physical disabilities who reside within two Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF). The nurse will provide comprehensive nursing and health care services in coordination with the consulting ICF Clinical Psychiatrist, the Lead RN, primary care physicians, direct care specialists and the interdisciplinary team. The Nurse also oversees management of medications, medical supplies and equipment, and provides training, guidance and direction to direct care staff related to the medical care of the individuals. This position requires planning, coordination, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of health care services for the individuals to assure complete integration with other services and the provision of active treatment. The Nurse is expected to work independently with a high degree of accuracy, initiative, confidentiality and decision-making skills. The Nurse shares responsibility with designated medical support staff, including on-call duties.

 
Position Requirements

Qualified candidates must be licensed through the Virginia Board of Nursing as an RN or LPN. Knowledge of electronic health records and eMARs is preferred.  Must hold a valid Virginia driver's license deemed in good standing per agency policy.
