An applicant for this position should have experience developing algorithms applied to large data sets for analysis, constraint-based search and optimization, autonomy and planning, machine learning, networking, or agent-based software design. Applicants will be responsible for providing technical leadership and collaborating with researchers and software developers to design and develop capabilities within modeling frameworks, applied to simulated and real datasets, develop algorithmic solutions to unique and challenging problems, and to characterize performance using statistical analysis techniques relative to metrics. Duties may include: Lead a small, focused multi-disciplinary team to design and develop, implement, test and analyze mathematical algorithms in modeling software frameworks and to develop advanced cyber capabilities for challenging national security problems Lead the team in implementing algorithm prototypes in Python, C/C++ and/or MATLAB and integrating these capabilities into software frameworks Lead the team in characterizing performance using statistical analysis techniques Serve as primary point of contact to the customer, co-contractors, and subcontractors for technical discussions and capability roadmapping   Position Requirements Required Skills: US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Cybersecurity or related field Experience developing mathematical and physics-based algorithms for constraint-based search and optimization, autonomy and planning, machine learning, networking, or agent-based software design 5+ years of relevant experience including leading technical teams on advanced R&D programs (e.g., DARPA, AFRL, ONR, ARL research projects) Motivated collaborator and effective communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and/or MATLAB, as well as other higher-level languages Experience using source code management (Git, Subversion) Desired Skills: Active Security Clearance at the TS level Exploitation development Implant or software patch development Familiarity with compiler fundamentals Knowledge of binary file structures and formats Assembly Languages (x86, ARM, etc.)   About the Organization Systems & Technology Research (STR) is a rapidly growing technology company with locations north of Boston, MA, Arlington, VA and near Dayton, OH.
