USAID Food Security Program Assistant 

Description

We have several exciting opportunities for International Development and Global Research Analysts with two to three years' experience in resilience and food security to provide programmatic support to the Bureau for Resilience and Food Security (RFS) at USAID.

Program Assistants provide administrative and logistical support in support of USAID staff. This includes meeting management support (scheduling, confirmation of space and technology, invitations, follow up with participants, note taking, action tracking, etc.). Provide general support on a variety of activities including obtaining research or documents, tracking clearances for bureau documentation, and providing general support across a variety of activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organizes project files including tracking clearances for bureau documentation
  • Supports meeting management for in-person and online meetings (invitations, confirmation of space and participants, etc.)
  • Obtains documents, reports, etc. as requested
  • Conducts basic research activities, including synthesis of literature, research, etc.
  • Prepares written project documents, templates, and tools
  • Performs other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in international development, public administration, business, project management, human resources, or other, related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience in international development or similar field
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate administrative and logistical support activities
  • Prior experience as a program coordinator preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google platforms (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar), and recruiting databases
