Description

Position summary: Maintain quality standards and product compliance to specifications by performing inspections and tests, documenting the outcome of all, and notifying the proper individuals of all issues. This Position is  6 AM-6PM 

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safety and security of products
  • Perform the assigned testing, inspections, and machine/process/procedural observations, which differ in each area
  • Complete all necessary data entry for machines in your assigned area
  • Document inspection results by inputting accurate data into required database
  • Assist during containment activities with additional testing as required
  • Must be able to help identify when a problem started
  • Must communicate all issues to the Supervisor when appropriate
  • Support manufacturing with additional testing or inspections as needed
  • Approve in-process production, conduct visual and measurement tests
  • Communicate required corrections or adjustments to the Lead and or Supervisor
  • Perform and document retesting after corrections
  • Inspect, test and document as needed for incoming items
  • Monitor the measuring equipment notifying Supervisor of needed repairs or problems
  • Report any potential food safety, legality, quality or food defense concerns to the Supervisor or quality management
  • Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior inspection or testing experience 1 year or more
  • Quality oriented - Attention to detail - Organized and thorough
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to be a team player
  • Ability to use and understand test equipment
  • Some computer knowledge is required
