What are we looking for in a Data Entry Specialist?

The Data Entry Specialist will enter, monitor, and maintain client information within the electronic health record (EHR). The Data Entry Specialist will assist with the entry and tracking of specific data elements in our EHR, which will help us to maintain compliance and use benchmarks for measurable improvements. This position is best suited to someone who has exceptional attention to detail, can follow directions & protocols exactly, and will uphold strict confidentiality requirements. One year of general office experience is required, as Data Entry Specialists must be skilled with operating computers and other office equipment.

Data Entry Specialist duties may include:

  • accurately entering specific data elements into the EHR
  • entering and updating client demographic information
  • assisting teams in maintaining compliance and ensuring accuracy of database information
  • working to ensure data integrity and source documentation compliance
  • providing feedback and training as appropriate when a need for corrections is identified
  • researching questionable data and using problem-solving skills to ensure necessary corrections are made
 
Position Requirements

Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED and one year of general office experience.
