Seeking a Financial Empowerment Coach for our

Healthy Money Habits Program.

This is a One-Year, Grant-Funded Program.

Our Financial Empowerment Coach is tasked with helping families and individuals achieve financial stability through intentional effrots to increase knowledge of healthy financial practices and integrate that knowledge into action within client's lives.   The Coach does this through one-on-one financial education and counseling to low income clients of HOPES. This position offers a unique opportunity to help  motivated individuals develop financial wellness which impacts overall health outcomes.  

This position offers a great opportunity to utilize project management skills combined with patient-facing activities.  Your day will offer varied activities;  one moment you might be engaging in the analysis of data gathered to improve program outcomes and another, conducting a comprehensive financial assessment with each client.  You'll partner with clients to develop finaincial care plans, assist them with financial management and credit clearing and ultimately to budget to cover  their needs along with buiding an emergency rainy-day fund.  In this role, the Coach will collect data to measure program efficacy and disseminate findings to a variety of stakeholders.

Northern Nevada HOPES is a Federally Qualified Health Center and Patient Centered Medical Home.  We are a Drug-Free Workplace and utilize E-Verify to very work eligibility.  The grant for this program runs for only one year.  This role will only extend for a period of one year.

 

 
Position Requirements
  • Significant experience assisting individuals with the management of personal finances, particularly in areas of budgeting, asset-building, and credit-building required.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information required.
  • Bilingual-Spanish/English required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written required.
  • Significant experience working with diverse populations required.
  • Reliable transportation for offisite meetings required.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point required.
  • Prior experience building, implementing and monitoring grant funded programs preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Harm Reduction philosophy preferred.
  • Financial Coach preferred.
