Day in the life of a Scrum Master

Our Agile Team collaborates to meet sprint commitments delivering impactful results to our customers. While building trusting relationships, you will foster an environment for open retrospect and continuous learning.  With a keen eye on team health, you will aid in removing impediments and promote solid collaboration across the product development team and organization.  Utilizing creative facilitation strategies, you will organize and run Agile events supporting your team in reaching their sprint commitments and delivering quality results.     


  • Facilitate the daily scrum, refinement, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospectives
  • Support the product development team tracking sprint progress, removing impediments and maintaining a close pulse on team health
  • Promote trust and collaboration that drives quality and efficiency
  • Foster an environment for continuous improvement while utilizing Agile principles
  • Enable the product development team to self-organize and hold each other accountable
  • Keep abreast of Agile and Scrum best practices and champion them across the organization
  • Continue the support and evolution of the Forum Communications Software Development Lifecycle
  • Support the organization with effective communication and collaboration techniques that unite departments across common goals
  • Work with staff on cross-functional projects to create project delivery timelines, highlight milestones, and identify risks & dependencies
  • Assist in managing vendor dependencies for supported products and services

Preferred Qualities & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Scrum Master for 2+ years
  • Experience managing projects including coordination across departments
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build cross-departmental relationships
  • Understanding of the lifecycle of software products, especially web based products
  • PMP or CSM certification preferred
