Location Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday - Sunday 8am-4pm
Summary: Multi-Specialty Practice; looking for an experienced CMA to perform various office and clinical duties to keep our urgent care practice running efficiently. Our Medical Assistant will work directly with practitioners and other team members to collect test samples, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures to patients and assist in basic examinations. The ideal candidate will possess above average customer service skills, a willingness to assist all other team members, advanced critical thinking and be an eager learner.

Requirements:
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred
- High school diploma; some college preferred
- Clinical Assistant certification
- Knowledge of commen medical terminology
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong bed side manner
- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
- The ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software and EHR software
Responsibilities
• Report to clinical coordinator or practice administrator
• Perform nursing procedures under supervision of physician or physician assistant
• Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms
• Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart
• Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant
• Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment
• Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
• Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
• All other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator or practice administrator
