Assistant Fleet Technician

Description

The Landings Association is currently hiring for an Assistnat Fleet Technician to assist with the repairs  and maintainennce of  the Association's fleet. This is an entry level position that works directly with and reports to the Fleet Coordinator. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintains and repairs vehicles & equipment including cleaning, assigning, and inspecting vehicles, i.e., lights, tires, fluids, schedule routine maintenance
  2. Performs vehicle and equipment diagnosis.
  3. Determines proper tools and equipment needed to perform tasks.
  4. Maintains inventory control of parts and general supplies.
  5. Keeps the maintenance shop organized and clean to help with inventory, reduce unproductive time, and promote safety.
  6. Determines proper safety gear and techniques to reduce accidents.
  7. Looks for opportunities to improve the operational aspects of their job.
  8. Participates in cross functional teams to complete projects in a timely manner.
  9. Understands the Vision and Mission of TLA and how his/her position impacts department success.
  10. Other duties as directed by the Facilities/Fleet Coordinator.

Position Requirements

Minimum Job requirements

  • At least 1 year of automotive and heavy equipment repair experience
  • A valid driver’s license with insurability at normal risk rates
  • High school diploma or equivalent
