Description

PacArctic (PAC) is currently looking for an experienced Report Production Consultant to provide expert support to PAC and our government customer in the Arlington, VA area.

The Report Production Consultant will provide editorial and design-layout review and support during production of OIG’s Semiannual Report to Congress (SAR), actual reporting days to be determined when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Proofreading, copyediting, substantive review, and design-layout quality control to ensure accuracy in enforcing OIG Style Standards.
  • Perform SAR reviews as requested to provide a comprehensive copyedit of the consolidated draft (in Word) and to ensure that the final version reflects all required report content and has no visual anomalies that deviate from design standards. Additional reviews and editing will be required near the end of the production month to ensure the accuracy of manual changes made to the master file.
  • Additional substantive editorial reviews of audit, inspection, or evaluation reports may be required during surge periods when full-time personnel are not available to support or if unique experience is required.
  • Data analysis to design or review graphics and tables may be required for the SAR production or on an as-needed basis to support complex infographic presentations or other OIG report products at other times during the year.
 
Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Proficiency in GPO Style Guide is required.
  • Expert experience (minimum 5 years) reviewing and editing high level government documents.
  • Has an understanding of high level government and Congressional, reporting requirements, and reporting formats.
  • Expert experience (minimum 5 years) performing training in writing, design, process

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.  The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  The work load may require the incumbent to stand for extended periods of time.  The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Includes travel to local, remote and out of state locations.
