Share Email Opening Title Interconnection Product Manager   Description POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION   As a Product Manager, Interconnection at NTT Global Data Centers Americas you will be responsible for bridging the gap to understand and meet customer requirements and providing technical expertise to Product, Marketing, Sales and Engineering teams. You will research cutting-edge technology trends, write use cases and provide technical support to help build customer confidence in our proposed solutions and services.   In addition, you will maintain a close relationship with the market (customers, prospects and technology partners) and help drive our value proposition for growth and expansion. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.   You must possess the key attributes, skills and experience to be successful in this role, such as: Ability to stich discrete components of technology (networks, cloud, webification) and conceive innovative solutions Be a subject matter expert of networks and data center technologies Constant tracking of trend and market analysis Be the focal point of sales support Help refine detailed product requirements Play an active role in Go-To-Market execution, articulating positioning, key benefits, product pricing, target customers and vertical markets   To be successful in this role, you must speak the ‘Interconnection’ language of the data centers. Prior technical product management is a must and data center/colocation experience are a plus.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Understands and communicates customer requirements to meet their needs Specifies market requirements for current and future datacenter locations, by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers Supports efforts to increase revenue or reduce costs associated with products / services Creates product service descriptions and maintains product pricing and operational models Tracks and maintains performance metrics for new products and markets Participates in various Sales Support activities, including product and services training, seminars and documentation, and pre and post sales customer visits Serves as an industry thought leader and presents the company vision at industry events Interacts with cross-functional teams on strategic and tactical projects Maintains business relationships with network/telco carriers, vendors, partners and customers.   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong communication and presentation skills, with formal public speaking and presentation training Ability to create a concise business plan – and present that plan to others Able to be highly confidential Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Strong analytical skills – ability to calculate and articulate ROI of products and projects Ability to negotiate compromises between conflicting priorities Able to work in a team environment Manages stress and/or fast-paced effectively Excellent oral and written communications and problem-solving skills   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or computer science 5+ years in technical product management in Network, Data Center and Enterprise Apps Experience with datacenter or colocation services is a plus Launching new products and services Detailed understanding of the Product Lifecycle Technologies include MPLS, Network Layer 2/Layer 3, Firewall, SDN, SD-WAN, Network Virtualization Cloud: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending Ability to communicate and deliver presentations Able to hear and speak into a telephone Close visual work on a computer terminal Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs WORK CONDITIONS Standard office environment; extensive daily usage of workstation or computer   SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Works on site as well as some travel (no more than 25%) Requires carrying cell phone   Position Requirements   Shift Days   Exempt/Non-Exempt   Position Interconnection Project Manager   Number of Openings 1   Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt   Hiring Manager(s)   Location NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc., Sacramento   About the Organization Global Data Centers is a division of NTT Ltd. and incorporates DPA, e-shelter, Gyron, Netmagic, NTT Indonesia Nexcenter, RagingWire and other NTT Communications group Data Center divisions.
