Our History

eMDs was founded in 1996 by David Winn, MD, a board-certified family practice physician with a very strong business background who understood the value of having an integrated practice management system which helped physicians focus on patients while optimizing practice financials. Dr. Winn was dissatisfied with offerings on the market, and set out to create his own. The eMDs clinic was first implemented in 1998. Using our own practice management system meant we fully understood what it takes to create the perfect EHR system and why the company built our reputation upon being a highly usable system.

Many years later, we've retained the same values from our early days. We are dedicated to building the best integrated EHR and RCM systems and services. We focus on listening to our customers. And most importantly, we focus on making the practice of medicine enjoyable and fulfilling.

Summary of Job:

Working closely with the Payroll Manager. Will be responsible for providing assistance for Payroll for the US Based Team Members and various administrative tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Data entry of Payroll related items into the Payroll System from the HR System.  Including but not limited to:  Job Changes, Pay Rate Changes and Withholdings.

Responding in writing to Verification of Employment Requests.

Verify and submit the 401(k) file to the administrator following each Payroll cycle.

Create and submit the HSA file to the administrator following each Payroll cycle.

Work closely with the Payroll Lead to ensure payroll is processed correctly and on time for all US Based Team Members.

Positively respond to Team Member inquiries about their pay checks.

Special Payroll projects as assigned.

Occasional Front Desk Coverage, including but not limited to: Answering phone, greeting guests, faxing documents, receiving mail.

Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

This is an entry level position into our Payroll team.

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)

Intermediate or higher Excel skills required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

1 – 3 years of Payroll processing experience for a multistate organization.

1 – 3 years of experience of working within an HRIS systems.

Other Details about the Job:

No travel.

Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Must be Team Oriented but also effective at working independently.

Ability to effectively work with Team Members at all levels of the company.

Must be a highly motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed and meet or exceed goals and deadlines.

Must be able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.

This position will be based out of our office in Richardson, TX.
