Business Development Manager - Market Research

We have an opening for a Market Research Business Development Manager who will be responsible for cultivating large clientele by understanding their sales and marketing intelligence gaps and challenges and then developing and selling custom primary research programs that exceed their expectations.

Position Requirements

Qualified applicants will possess:

  • An insatiable curiosity
  • Confidence in their opinion and the humility to accept help from others
  • Prior research/marketing experience – knowledge of surveys, interviews, markets, segments, and personas
  • Expertise with a longer, more complex sales cycle, with multiple decision makers
  • A mindset that is conflict able – not conflict averse, not conflict prone, but conflict ready
  • The absence of call reluctance
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science
  • High attention to detail and initiative
  • The desire to help customers and co-workers
  • Ability to travel six to eight times a year

Applicants with the following are preferred:

  • Experience in the Life Science Industry
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other contact management systems
  • Ability to use data/analytics to influence (internal stakeholders to external customers)
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Research environment experience
  • Presentation experience
