NAVSEA has a two-year plan to conduct wall to wall inventories and move material into centralized and controlled locations at their Warfare Centers. The Inventory Specialist/Logistics Analyst will assist NAVSEA in identifying material that needs to be moved to the new location, prepare the material for movement, verify identification of the material, move the material, and conduct wall to wall inventories to ensure the material and processes are auditable. The candidate will gather, track, and process material and records, reporting on quantities of on-hand materials and updating the Navy’s system with accurate inventory data. The position requires knowledge of the Navy’s business processes, physical inventory procedures, and the Navy ERP system. Since NAVSEA has Warfare Center facilities all over the continental US, the candidate will be required to travel to regional sites.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Providing expertise on inventory, warehouse management, and physical inventory functionality
  • Conducting material inventories and technical screening
  • Validating inventory accountability
Position Requirements

Experience/Education Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of knowledge of Navy Logistics or physical inventory experience.
  • Prior DoD/Navy military or civilian experience.
  • Ability to conduct accurate inventories and research the causes of inventory discrepancies.
  • Ability to lift material (up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • User knowledge of Navy ERP in a warehousing environment
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
