The Master Scheduler has broad responsibilities for managing the overall flow of material from order entry through manufacturing and delivery to the customer, as well as accountability for tracking using SAP ERP System.  Develop schedules and forecasts that include product lead times, milestones, shipping schedules, and represent critical relationships between manufacturing and the sales organization as required to plan, coordinate, and visualize all significant activities. Analyze trends, develop reports, facilitate communication and provide feedback on delivery performance.

  • Raw material inventory and planning methodologies
  • Finished goods inventory and planning methodologies
  • Ensures integrity of SAP data and dates
  • Meeting customer service levels and meeting forecast accuracy targets
  • Critical decisions based on the best information at hand and take a leadership role in building consensus among several parties, including at times multiple locations to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction


  • Responsible for coordinating, tracking, and scheduling of products associated with manufacturing and finished goods
  • Manages the inventory, scheduling, lead times, and planning functions to meet operating plans, balancing service needs and costs 
  • Develops and communicates short/long term production plans to align with forecasted revenue plans
  • Interacts with Customer Service, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Operations, and Product Management to resolve issues and build consensus on customer/market supply strategy to meet lead times and manufacturing demands
  • Assists with managing the physical inventory process
  • Responsible for ensuring materials and work orders are available to manufacturing in a timely manner to meet production requirements
  • Assists with overall inventory accuracy and inventory levels
  • Provides weekly/monthly forecast, delivery status, and capacity updates as required by the SIOP process
  • Participates in engineering change management process
  • Reviews all subcontractor and vendor make versus buy requests and advises of any schedule impacts
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned


Directs work performed by planners. This position is responsible for performance management, employment decisions and compensation recommendations for all planning employees.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of planning, logistics, supply chain or manufacturing management experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business is preferred; APICS certification is desired
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP functionality
  • Experienced in schedule forecasting and capacity planning
  • Familiarity with PMI and related project management and scheduling best practices
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR and DPAS ratings and priority
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Project desired
  • Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to manage and present large amounts of quantitative data
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and problem solve
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment with customers, vendors and employees/managers at all levels within the company
  • Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in additional standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand English

  • Work is accomplished in a typical office environment with adequate environmental (heating/cooling) control.The noise level in the work environment is moderate due to noises associated with computer equipment and environmental control systems

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets

  • Access to operations and manufacturing areas may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, oils, and fluctuations in temperature
